Matthew D. O’Donnell was raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 2003. He attended Muhlenberg College and graduated in 2007. While at Muhlenberg, Matthew majored in Political Science and Music. He was a member of the college orchestra and participated in S.H.A.R.E. events, a community service organization. Matthew was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the academic honor society.

After graduating from Muhlenberg, Matthew attended law school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While attending law school, Matthew worked in two of the school’s legal clinics, the Elder Law Clinic and the Health Law Clinic. During his time in the clinics, he represented clients and assisted them in obtaining Social Security benefits, along with drafting estate documents, healthcare declarations, and powers of attorney.

Matthew also plays keyboard in The Verdict, a local band consisting of lawyers and judges, often playing for charitable causes.
